Statistical Research Consultants Bangladesh (SRCBD) is offering Two-days long Online Instructor-led Training on “Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS” dated on 25th September & 2nd October, 2021.
Structural equation modelling (SEM) is acknowledged as a second-generation statistical technique in analysing cause-effect relationships between unobserved variables. This technique is widely adopted in the area of behavioural research specifically in social science research. Covariance-based SEM (CB-SEM) and partial least squares SEM (PLS-SEM) are the two major methods extensively applied in social science research to analyse the theoretical model. Scholars suggest that these two methods are a substitute for each other in analysing the structural model. Both the techniques have their strengths and limitations. However, proper application of the PLS-SEM technique provides a better estimation of causal predictive models compared to CB-SEM methods. SmartPLS software is considered one of the powerful tools in which the PLS-SEM method is adopted to analyse the structural models.
This is a two-days training program designed to offer fundamental knowledge about SEM techniques. Besides, it will provide the basic hands-on procedures of using SmartPLS 3.0 software through which a theoretical model is analysed. This program is expected to be beneficial for the postgraduate students/ new researchers who have an apparent understanding of SEM and SmartPLS.
