This course introduces the participants to basic essential statistical techniques and their application in the R studio environment.

Handling data is increasingly becoming essential within a business. R Essentials will help delegates learn the fundamentals of this programming language and use it to perform various forms of data. Installation and Set-Up of R and R Studio, Overview of R Studio: R Console, R Script, R Markdown, R Environment-Workspace, History, R Documentation, Graphical Output, how to install Packages in R? Basic Computations in R.
R Variables, R Basic Data Types, Vector Basics, Vector Operations, Vector Indexing, Creating R Objects: List and Data Frame, Reading Data from Files, Reading Datasets from Different Data Format, Exploring the basics of data.
2nd Session: Exploratory Data Analysis in R
Summary Statistics, Frequency distribution, One-way table, Two-way tables (Crosstable), Descriptive Statistics, Measures of Central Tendency, Measures of Dispersion, Measures of Distribution (Skewness & Kurtosis), Presenting tables in Smart Ways, Basic Plot in R.
3rd Session: Data Visualization & Correlation in R
Data Visualization using ggplot2 – Overview of ggplot2, Histogram, Scatterplot, Bar diagram, Stacked Bar, Line plot, Layered and Faceting, Tuning ggplot2.
Correlation analysis, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, Understanding correlation by Scatterplot.
4th Session: Hypothesis & Statistical Modelling in R
Test of Hypothesis in R: How to Construct a Hypothesis, One sample t-test, Two sample t-test, Paired test, Chi Square Test, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), One-way ANOVA
Statistical Modelling in R: Regression analysis, Regression Coefficient, Coefficient of Determination, Simple linear regression analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis
